imbolc

Friday night a wee later than normal on 6th of feb my friends Dave and
Jacs meet up again in the new forest with Maria etc for imbolc
celebration.

it was a moon lite night and with the snow on the ground it seemed for me
to be a magical night,we were bless before we started the ritual by a
number of wild ponies which almost we thoughtwere going to come into the
circle.they were attracted by our cauldron i think,they came close stopped
a while watched us and then headed off into the snow again.

IMBOLC is normally celebrated on jan31 through to 2nd feb,and is a greater
sabbat in the wiccan year.

we celebrate the middle of the season of the long nights comming to and
end and the looking forward to the season of light again and rebirth. the
goddess nurtures her young son and its almost time for the young lambs to
be born signing in the spring etc.

new begginings ,new growth and we plant the seeds of our hopes and dream
for the this new year.

as usual bread and ale was taken at the end and each of us had written on
a piece of paper something they wished for in the comming year ahead and
put it into the cauldrons fire looking into the flame and thinking on it.

maria gave us all a small snow drop aswell.
